Job Description
The Sales Order Processor will be responsible for:
* Inputting customer orders into the system accurately and efficiently.
* Sending order confirmations to customers and providing details about delivery timelines.
* Checking inventory levels to ensure products are available for fulfilment.
* Communicating with sales, warehouse, and shipping departments to ensure timely order processing.
* Addressing any issues or discrepancies with orders, such as pricing errors or stock shortages.
* Maintaining accurate records of orders, customer interactions, and any changes to orders.
* Assisting customers with inquiries about their orders, shipping statuses, and returns.
* Identifying areas for improving the order processing workflow and suggesting enhancements.
* Generating reports on order processing metrics, such as order volume and fulfilment times, for management review.
* Dealing with any customer queries and providing a suitable solution.
The Successful Applicant
* Demonstrable experience in sales order processing, customer service, or a related field is often preferred.
* Strong skills in using order management software, spreadsheets, and databases.
* Ability to accurately enter and manage data, with a focus on minimising errors.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
* Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously.
* Capacity to identify issues and propose effective solutions quickly.
* A focus on providing excellent customer service and addressing customer needs.
