At Serco Workforce Solutions, we’re looking for a Chef to join our team within the Asylum Accommodation and Support Contract (AASC). You’ll assist in delivering quality catering services for individuals moving through the asylum system, ensuring compliance with catering and food safety standards. Ideally you’ll already hold HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 qualifications, however if not, we’ll support you to complete these during employment. This is a temporary position with opportunities to become permanent. You’ll be entrusted to: Deliver catering services, with a varied and healthy menu that also caters for special dietary requirements Provide catering facilities that support the requirements of the catering manual Ensure catering resources comply with all relevant public health and food hygiene legislation Maintain food safety during delivery, storage, and service Serve meals Record and document all relevant paperwork to comply with food hygiene regulations, HACCP, and company policies Train and supervise staff working in the catering department Perform quality checks on serveries before, during, and after mealtimes Provide hospitality requirements when ordered Carry out and provide special day events/menus Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have… City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, or equivalent qualifications Food Safety Level 2 Good working knowledge in a large catering establishment Good leadership, teamwork, time management, written and spoken communication skills, and creativity Basic IT skills Awareness of Health & Safety at Work Regulations Awareness of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations Awareness of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Ideally, a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar post What’s in it for you?
