Job Summary This is a senior role within the Clinical and Professional Directorate of NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (NHS WY ICB), providing leadership, management, and oversight of the Health Protection function. This includes overseeing the management of health protection incidents, including infectious disease outbreaks, environmental health risks, and public health emergencies. The post holder will be expected to manage as part of a multi-disciplinary team the identification, prevention, control and response to infectious and non-infectious threats to focus on health inequalities and the specific vulnerable populations to achieve an equity of outcome. This may include establishing situational awareness, surveillance, mobilising vaccinations or testing in partnership with relevant clinical teams, supporting contact tracing, and engagement with relevant stakeholders.
