As Skilled CNC Machinist, Greengate Business Unit, you will be responsible for using expert knowledge to operate and control numerically controlled (CNC) machines. Where feasible use knowledge of relevant programming languages and input them into CNC machines for production, while ensuring products have precise and accurate measurements. You will be keen to take on challenges, develop your leadership and or skills potential as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Produce quality parts on CNC machines efficiently and safely.
2. Perform set-up changes, operate machines, and conduct first article inspections.
3. Load parts using overhead lifting equipment, prove programs, set offsets, and perform simple edits and de-burring.
4. Identify and address machine malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, making necessary adjustments.
5. Read engineering drawings and precision measuring instruments to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements.
6. Maintain knowledge of tooling instructions, including feed rates, cutting speeds, and cutting tools.
7. Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly, performing basic preventative maintenance.
8. Promote and ensure compliance with NOV Company, Quality, and HSE policies and procedures.
9. Travel as required and perform other work-related tasks to meet business needs.
10. Collaborate with team members and management to ensure efficient workflow and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
11. Recognized apprenticeship with CNC disciplines.
