Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic part-time Year 6 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Sheffield on a part-time basis. This role requires a dedicated educator with a passion for inspiring young learners, particularly in their crucial final year of primary education. You will be teaching Year 6 students for two days a week, helping them to reach their potential and prepare for the transition to secondary school.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 6 pupils, following the national curriculum.
Prepare pupils for SATs by reinforcing key skills in literacy, numeracy, and comprehension.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing support where needed to ensure individual needs are met.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning and development.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
A solid understanding of the primary curriculum and SATs preparation.
Strong classroom management skills and a flexible, positive approach to teaching.
Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
