Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced colleague who is keen to support the development of our recently introduced but rapidly expanding Device/CRM service.
The post-holder will be responsible for performing and reporting a wide range of invasive/non-invasive cardiac investigations, and will support the management and development of an effective and efficient angiography and device service.
Our device service includes brady implants, a newly initiated conduction system pacing service, and we are also increasing and enhancing our CRT-P and aspirational CRT-D service.
The post holder will be involved in implantation, on-site follow-up, satellite pacing follow up clinics and the teaching/supervision of junior staff.
Main duties of the job
With particular interest in our recently initiated Complex Devices CRM service, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Cardiac Physiologist or Clinical Scientist to join our growing invasive team. Based at Peterborough City Hospital, you will provide specialist skills and leadership within a team offering diagnostic angiography and pacing implant and follow up services. Device follow up is provided at multiple sites outside of Peterborough which you will help to provide and co-ordinate. As this service seeks to grow, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop with it in out purpose built Cardiology unit.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
11. BSc (hons) in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification
12. Registration in the Cardiology modality through the Registration Council For Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or equivalent
13. BHRS / IBHRE accreditation or equivalent
Experience
Essential
14. Extensive knowledge and experience of working in all areas of Cardiac Physiology
15. Proficient in specialist non-invasive clinical technical cardiac investigations
16. Ability to report at a high technical level across a range of diagnostic tests
Desirable
17. At least 3yrs experience as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist with some evidence of leadership/management during this time
18. Advanced IT skills
