Financial Accountant (Part-Qual)
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (PART-QUAL) | HIGH WYCOMBE
We're looking for a fabulous part qualified Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in overseeing fixed assets, inter-company, sustainability reporting and ad hoc projects per business' needs.
You'll partner with department managers, providing robust analysis and insight to aid business decision-making processes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Be accountable for the day-to-day management of the Fixed Asset register, ensuring assets are capitalised and depreciated in line with group policies, and working with the Tax team to ensure we claim maximum capital allowances.
2. Responsible for all Capex reporting and forecasting, partnering with Business owners to review spend by project and highlighting any risks or overspends in a timely manner.
3. Own our sustainability reporting, streamlining the process through automation and supplier partnering.
4. Support the production of the VAT returns for our UK and ROI entities, ensuring returns are accurate and completed on time.
5. Deliver the month-end P&L for your areas of responsibility, providing meaningful variance analysis to budget, forecast and last year.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
1. Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or by experience
2. Ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines
3. Retail/FMCG experience is desirable but not essential
4. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical, numerical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
5. Intermediate Excel skills are essential
