We are looking for 2 enthusiastic, committed and proactive individuals, to take on the role as an Assistant Manager to work in one of our 2 new homes for children and young people with Disabilities. For these roles, you will need to have the transferable skills developed through your experience in an additional needs or specialist education environment and have the following: An understanding of children and young people with SEND/ disability and person-centred care. A genuine interest in the well-being and inclusion of children and young people with disabilities. Excellent communication skills. Experience in supporting children and young people who may show behaviours that may challenge. he children and young people in our all our homes need care, love, nurture and the necessary support, to help them to work through the difficulties they may have experienced or are currently experiencing, and to help enhance their present and future lives. The children a young people need committed and dependable individuals who will go above and beyond, to help make them feel safe and secure, and who will promote their emotional health and wellbeing. We are looking for someone who will be a positive role model for both our children and young people, and the team of workers at the home. In the role of Assistant Manager, you will also monitor, review and audit systems and processes in the home, to ensure compliance with Ofsted and operate within the framework of the Children Act, Working Together to Safeguard 2023 and the Children s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015. There is an expectation that you will supervise workers on a regular basis and undertake annual Delve/Appraisals. You will be part of a supportive management team, where there are real opportunities for your personal and professional development. Our training offer in Rochdale is second to none, including you completing the Therapeutic Parenting with PACE training programme, which is the foundation of our Model of Care. We want our Assistant Managers to be our future Registered Managers and we will support you to achieve this. You must be over 21 years of age and have at least 2 years experience working with Children and Young People, preferably in a residential or short breaks setting. You must be qualified to NVQ/Diploma Level 3 Working with Children and Young People or equivalent and preferably hold a Diploma Level 4 or above, but don t worry if you don t hold a Level 4, as we will support you to complete the Level 5 in Leadership & Management.
