Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, motivated and enthusiastic team. Ward 15 is an 18 bedded care of the elderly ward caring for Dementia and Delirium patients and part of the medical directorate. The team provides high standards of care for the elderly promoting mobility and well being, preventing de conditioning. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and will be expected to undertake fundamental aspects of patient care. The role includes housekeeping duties, providing personal care to patients and ensuring the patients daily activities of living needs are met and to the highest of standards. The successful candidate would be involved in motivating patients to achieve some adjusted level of independence and create stimulation to patients whilst they are in hospital. The individual will be required to have good communication skills to be able to relate to patients, members of patients families and the multidisciplinary team that work within the clinical area.
