Job Summary
The post is for Ward 7 at Prince Charles Hospital. We are a busy surgical ward with patients mainly admitted via ED, ITU, and day surgery. Our specialization includes emergency surgery across several specialties such as colorectal, general surgery, urology, and maxillofacial. We offer diverse learning experiences and are committed to continually improving the quality of care provided to our patients.
The post holder will perform a range of tasks involving direct and indirect patient care, in accordance with established protocols. They will ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, meeting Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB requirements, as well as NMC standards and codes of conduct.
Main Duties of the Job
* Maintain high standards of patient care.
* Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
* Support and supervise junior staff.
* Maintain accurate, current, comprehensive, and concise patient records in line with NMC standards and UHB policies.
* Collaborate with clinical specialists such as doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and clinical nurse specialists regarding patient care plans.
Desirable: Ability to speak Welsh; English and/or Welsh speakers are encouraged to apply.
