As General Manager, you will be at the heart of this transformation, overseeing the day-to-day management of the village while also playing a key role in our long-term success. You’ll foster an environment where hospitality excellence, resident well-being, and operational performance thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Driving the Vision
1. Develop and implement the Asset Business Plan and operational strategies for Avonpark Village, ensuring we meet our strategic goals.
2. Lead the Village team with a clear focus on our mission, vision, and values, inspiring and motivating them to deliver exceptional results.
Building a Strong Community
1. Create an environment where our residents feel at home, fostering strong, lasting relationships through outstanding service and genuine care.
2. Manage the development and implementation of facilities management plans, ensuring Avonpark Village remains a best-in-class provider of retirement living.
Delivering Excellence in Hospitality
1. Lead by example to ensure that customer experience is consistently outstanding, driving operational excellence and maximising revenue while controlling costs.
2. Drive the effective use of hospitality systems to monitor, track, and grow income.
Caring for Our Residents
1. Oversee a well-being program that keeps residents engaged and excited and explore new opportunities to grow revenue through external sales and memberships.
2. Ensure our third-party care providers meet the highest standards to help residents live independently for longer.
Leading a High-Performing Team
1. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by empowering your team to make sound operational decisions and manage their work effectively.
2. Set clear performance targets and guide the development of your team to ensure they are equipped to meet both their personal and professional goals.
What We’re Looking For
1. 3-6 years of general management experience, ideally in a similar operational or hospitality setting, with a proven ability to deliver on business strategy.
2. Strong track record of building and maintaining resident, guest and customer relationships, with a focus on creating customer-centric solutions.
3. A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate future opportunities and translate them into actionable plans.
4. A sound understanding of financial management, using key financial indicators to drive better decision-making.
5. A commitment to creating a safe, compliant, and healthy environment for all residents and staff.
