GVC is assisting a well-established independent veterinary group in their search for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and experienced team. With three clinics based in the Bedfordshire area, this role offers flexibility, with the option to work across multiple sites or be based at a single location.

1. A dedicated team of 11 Vets and 11 Nurses, supported by a skilled management and client care team
2. A clinical team with advanced practitioner status and certificate holders in small animal surgery, internal medicine, emergency & critical care, and dentistry
3. A fully equipped, modern environment, including an in-house laboratory and the latest diagnostic technology
4. The ability to perform both routine and complex surgeries with the support of an experienced team
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive and independent practice. Responsibilities will include:
1. Consulting and treating a variety of animal species
2. Performing diagnostic procedures, including x-rays, blood tests, and ultrasound scans
3. Carrying out routine and advanced surgical procedures, including anaesthesia management
4. Administering vaccinations and preventive healthcare
5. Providing compassionate end-of-life care
6. Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring RCVS compliance
7. Liaising with specialists and referring cases where necessary
8. Working alongside a supportive team of vets, nurses, and support staff to ensure the highest patient care standards
