As CNC Machinist in Kintore, you will strive to produce world class quality, precision machined components from raw material stage to completed product. You will take a customer service approach, both internal and external, with a view that the technical services you provide are there to support the efficient management of your workspace and component production. You will be responsible for your own productivity output, utilizing various manufacturing processes and disciplines, including turning, milling and horizontal boring. As CNC Machinist you will be keen to take on challenges, develop your technical skills potential as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting initiatives. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Safely operate CNC machines, ensuring adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and maintaining good housekeeping practices. Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture components within specified tolerances. Plan and manage workload according to the production schedule, highlighting potential challenges in meeting deadlines. Identify and implement cost-effective tooling and programming solutions without compromising on quality or safety. Ensure compliance with company policies related to health & safety, quality standards, and housekeeping. Participate in daily briefings and toolbox talks, contributing to discussions on potential areas for improvement. Accurately report time and record progress, including identifying and reporting any quality or time-related discrepancies. Collaborate with the team to identify, propose, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Assist with maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Engagement. Address technical issues promptly and seek support when needed, offering solutions to overcome challenges. Skills & Experience Required: Essential: Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant field or equivalent experience as a CNC Machinist. Strong working knowledge of CNC machining centres, particularly in the oil and gas industry. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Desirable: Higher education in a related field. Experience with CNC lathes, CNC Multiaxis machines, CNC MAZAK machines. Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle or Emax. Shift Rotation Example: Rotating 4 weeks of Day Shifts, followed by 4 weeks of Night Shifts: Day Shift: Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-3:30pm, Friday: 7:00am-2:30pm.
