Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Hair Salon Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hairdressing and a passion for teaching and mentoring. The Hair Salon Educator will be responsible for training and developing the skills of salon staff, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and trends.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training & Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programmes for new and existing staff, covering cutting, colouring, styling, and customer service.
2. Workshops & Seminars: Organise and lead workshops, seminars, and practical demonstrations on current hair trends, techniques, and innovations.
3. Performance Assessment: Monitor and assess staff performance, providing feedback and additional training as needed to ensure high standards are maintained.
4. Mentorship: Act as a mentor to junior stylists, helping them develop their skills and confidence.
5. Curriculum Development: Develop and update training materials, manuals, and curriculum to reflect industry advancements and the salon’s needs.
6. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all training complies with industry regulations and the salon’s policies, maintaining health and safety standards.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with the Salon Manager to identify training needs and develop strategies to enhance team performance.
8. Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and advancements by attending courses, events, and exhibitions, bringing new knowledge back to the salon.
Requirements:
1. 10 years of professional hairdressing experience, with a proven track record in advanced cutting, colouring, and styling.
2. Teaching Experience: Previous experience as an educator or trainer in a salon or beauty school is preferred.
3. Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
4. Creativity: Strong creative flair with a deep understanding of current and emerging hair trends.
5. Organised with the ability to plan and execute training sessions effectively.
6. Adaptability: Able to tailor training methods to suit different learning styles and skill levels.
7. Passion: A genuine passion for hairdressing and a commitment to fostering the growth of others in the industry.
