Key Responsibilities - Previous experience of sheet metal working within the aircraft industry is preferred - Knowledge of general sheet metal working disciplines, experience in working with double curvatures on the "English Wheel" would be advantageous - Read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints - The ability to work to close tolerances - The ability to work with different types of material (Aluminium, Stainless, Inconel and Titanium) - Support departmental and site level Continuous Improvement activities - Compliance with all RTX policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and Global Trade Compliance requirements - Optimize service delivery processes by enhancing planning and organizational practices. - Drive quality improvements and ensure adherence to timelines and project goals. - Lead problem-solving initiatives and promote continuous improvement using CORE and CI methodologies. - Participate in leadership development programs to enhance your skills. - Uphold compliance with all Collins policies and regulatory procedures, including EH&S, ethics, intellectual property, and global trade standards. Shifts This role offers flexibility through rotating shifts: DayshiftMon-Thurs 6am - 2.30pmFriday 6am - 11amBackshiftMon-Thursday 2.15pm - 10.45pmFriday 10.45am - 3.45pm Education & Experience This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask effectively, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight timescales to support our customer needs. - The ideal candidate would be educated to City & Guilds / SVQ 3 level or equivalent in a relevant discipline ? - Previous experience in general sheet metal work within a workshop or maintenance environment is essential - Previous working knowledge of MS Office packages and experience with the ERP system SAP is advantageous We are looking for an individual with excellent organisational and analytical skills with the ability to problem solve. The role requires flexibility in rapidly evolving global aviation market.
