Main duties of the job As a part of our team you will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating the personalised health and wellbeing care needs of patients and families, in line with the Trust's Values & Nursing & Midwifery Professional Framework StandardsWorking with others we have close links with the Emergency Department, Paediatric Assessment Unit, Children's Outpatients Department and Community Paediatric Service. Our ward based team is multi-disciplinary including physios, pharmacist, play specialists, patient experience coordinator and the CAMHS team. We can offer a preceptorship package for newly qualified staff, induction training and a ward based educator. The trust also offers a package of health and well -being support to all staff. The unit includes a 30 bedded inpatient ward, including 4 high dependency beds. Specialities that we care for include general paediatric medicine and surgery, ENT, max fax, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, neurology and shared care oncology.We are a forward thinking team and have a number of exciting developments planned, we value the voice of staff as well as patients and there will be opportunities for involvement in shaping the future of the unit.
