Egress Supervisor (Aircraft Maintenance)

The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Egress Supervisor (Aircraft Maintenance). The successful applicant will be an experienced and skilled Armament Technician, assisting the Shift Supervisor in being responsible to the Chief Engineer for the safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance of all CAA Part-145 and/or BCAR A8-23 aircraft maintenance activities at the Teesside Maintenance facility and detached locations, essential to the effective delivery of customer contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake detailed maintenance on aircraft systems/components assuring all work is completed I.A.W relevant technical information.
* Liaise with necessary departments to complete allocated tasks.
* Carry out tasks to the best of ability, supervise and certify any work within the terms of the Company authorisation held in technical logs or on Company worksheets/work cards.
* Ensure compliance with published Company Procedures.
* Notify supervisor of any serious defects immediately upon discovery.
* Ensure all test equipment used in work is calibrated and in date for test.
* Be responsible for the maintenance of aircraft allocated by the Shift Supervisor.
* Manage ground movements of aircraft assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
* Requisition engineers in conjunction with the Shift Supervisor of other disciplines as required and coordinate them into the activity.
* Assume direct control of documentation of aircraft to assure that all required entries are promptly and correctly recorded.
* Assist the Shift Supervisor in monitoring staff performance including attendance, timekeeping, and sickness.
* Ensure areas of supervision are always kept clean and tidy, and carry out monthly workplace inspections, reporting findings.
* Highlight tooling requirements to the Shift Supervisor and assist with the preparation of business cases for procurement.
* Proven experience as a supervisor in either Military or Civil aviation.
Minimum Requirements
* EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence Categories B1/B2.
* Approved apprenticeship or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience on fast jet e.g., Hawk T1.
* Proven track record at a Supervisor Level or similar role within an aircraft maintenance environment, Military or Civil.
* Extensive knowledge of Regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance.
* Team oriented with proven communication and influencing skills.
* Customer focused with exceptional personal and communication skills.
* Self-motivated, confident, and assertive.
* A demonstrated capability to work within, and adhere to, a defined set of organisational values.
* Medically fit to perform daily engineering duties including detachment working.
* A willingness to work shift patterns to suit business needs.
* Security cleared to meet current UK and ITAR requirements in support of the business.
