British International School of Tbilisi (BIST) is looking to recruit dynamic, committed staff members for our exciting and unique not-for-profit independent school. BIST currently provides for approximately 500 children aged 3 to 18 from over 50 countries. Our modern purpose-built campus, extending over 15,000 square metres, is situated next to a natural lake on the hills overlooking the city. The state-of-the art facilities incorporate many important features that support innovative teaching and learning in the 21st Century. We adapt the English National Curriculum alongside the International Primary Curriculum to offer a creative and flexible curriculum that leads to Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels at Key Stages 4 & 5. BIST Secondary Section has a vacancy for the following position. Largely due to the growth of the school, a teacher is being sought for the following post (for August 2025)
Secondary School Economics and/or Business Studies teacher to teach up to and including A-Level.
BIST students and staff are committed to supporting the wider community through our wide-ranging BIST community programmes. All teachers also support and contribute actively to our cross-curricular days and weeks, our diverse programme of extra-curricular activities, and the PSHE programme. Secondary teachers will be expected to teach their subject to A Level and to prepare students for world class universities.
The successful candidates will have recent UK/international experience, be highly motivated, well organised and possess UK qualifications (or equivalent internationally recognised qualifications). An understanding of the benefits and challenges of living in a rapidly developing country is an advantage.
