Following continued growth and expansion (through both acquisition and organic growth), our Brighouse-based client, operating within the manufacturing/logistics sector, is recruiting its first in-house HR manager to develop and lead its HR function. This is an entirely new position which will form part of the senior leadership team, providing an opportunity for an ambitious, self-starter to play a pivotal role in the evolution and development of the business. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this role has both a strategic and operational focus and would suit an HR generalist who is happy to operate in a hands-on capacity, whilst equally contributing at a strategic level. Please note, this is a standalone role. You will be responsible for the provision of a full HR service, including Recruitment, HR systems and Processes, Policies, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Wellbeing, HR administration & Employee Benefits. You will provide support across all parts of the business, including other sites nationally which will require you to travel 2-3 times annually. Our client currently has c 100 employees, retains a family feel and is keento recruit an HR professional who will become a trusted advisor to employees and the Directors alike. We are looking for an experienced, CIPD-qualified HR Manager who can bring best practice from their time spent in another SME. It is expected that you will have at least 5 years experience of operating in a dedicated HR role. TUPE experience is desirable. For someone with the right degree of experience, it is possible that this role could be delivered in a 4-day working week. Whilst our client is open to considering part-time hours (28 hours minimum), they do need someone who is willing to work from the office 4 days p/w.
