About the Home The home is in the final stages of preparation, with only a few minor tasks remaining before opening. The organisation is actively engaging with the local authority and OFSTED to ensure the registration process is completed as soon as possible. About the Organisation This provider is led by a close-knit team of directors, one of whom has a clinical background in psychology and will act as the Clinical Director, offering hands-on support to the Registered Manager. As a Registered Manager, you will have significant autonomy in shaping the home's culture and ensuring the highest standards of care. While a staff team is potentially in place, the organisation values the Registered Manager's input in the recruitment process to ensure the team aligns with the home's vision and ethos. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring full compliance with OFSTED regulations. Lead, manage, and support a team to provide high-quality, therapeutic care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Work closely with directors and external professionals to develop and implement care plans that prioritise the well-being, development, and safety of the children. Take responsibility for safeguarding, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed and that the home remains a safe and nurturing environment. Drive continuous improvement and ensure the home achieves and maintains a Good or Outstanding OFSTED rating. Play a key role in staff recruitment, training, and development, ensuring a highly skilled and motivated team. What We Are Looking For Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential home. Strong understanding of OFSTED regulations and compliance requirements. Experience working with children with EBD and complex needs. A child-centred approach, with a commitment to delivering the highest standards of care. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a team. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it.
