Global Financial Services Security Lead, GFS Proserve
DESCRIPTION
At AWS, we're hiring highly passionate cloud security consultants to help our customers build the confidence and technical capability to securely operate and migrate top-tier workloads to the cloud. Our security consultants deliver technical security solutions, architecture, and advisory that helps financial services customers minimize their operating risks. They also advise and collaborate with internal AWS teams and customer resources to accelerate AWS migration. This Professional Services role will also work with internal sellers (Customer Segment Team) to ensure defined security solutions are articulated and aligned with customer expectations.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
The Customer Segment Team works with AWS customers to accelerate their cloud journey by anticipating customer needs and designing repeatable solutions. The security team within the Customer Segment Team consists of FSI-tenured security consultants with the technical acumen and implementation skills to identify security risks and provide clear guidance to mitigate or remediate the risks.
The ideal candidate should be an innovative security professional who has the ability to be a change agent for our most strategic customers. We need someone who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be able to earn the customer's trust while providing prescriptive guidance and developing/executing innovative security solutions.
Key job responsibilities
1. Sales support security advisory lead focusing on design, architecture, and strategy across customer segment financial services customer segment.
2. Drive/Defines/Influences customer security outcomes as part of professional services interaction.
3. Defines/Contributes to Sales Plays/Sales Motions for selling security across Industry segment.
4. Ability to influence customers/engagements; functions as escalation point for Engagement Security Issues.
5. Operates with autonomy and discretion; viewed as trusted advisor at CxO/VP-Level or equivalent, both internally and externally. Ownership of security related KPIs for Segment, in tandem with shared delivery - delivery practice manager.
6. Influences/Contributes to Professional Services Security Business Development practice.
7. Ability to influence Partners responsible for security delivery in customer segment.
8. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in security strategy and security operations.
A day in the life
- Partner closely with AWS sales teams (including account teams, solution architects, customer success, partners, demand generation, marketing, and more) to pursue security sales opportunities for AWS and partner services.
- Work directly with some of the largest Financial Services customers, developing and exercising the necessary executive and technical relationships required to advise on strategies, and to improve their security operations.
- Contribute to the creation of scalable sales plays and programs that simplify and synthesize our key messages, and help to equip the broad ecosystem of AWS customer-facing teams with the knowledge and confidence to amplify your sales plays.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience as technical specialist in design and architecture.
2. Experience in database (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).
3. Experience in consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions.
4. Experience in software development with object-oriented language.
5. Experience in cloud-based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system.
6. Experience in external or internal customer-facing, complex and large scale project management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree, or experience in a professional field or military.
