Role Overview The Infrastructure Support Consultant plays a crucial role in our Managed Services team, providing advanced technical support, system maintenance, infrastructure management, and delivery of IT solutions and services to FSP’s clients. This position is an integral part of our Technical Consultancy and Development team, setting our customers up for smooth operation and maintenance across their estates. You will also be responsible for delivering into complex projects, mentoring team members, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This role is hybrid with travel to customers and FSP offices. Responsibilities · You will be a point of contact for escalated technical support for Azure services, including helping with troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues. · Involvement in complex projects and initiatives to improve IT solutions, services and infrastructure. · Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure-based solutions. · Liaising with client stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and to discuss strategic improvements. · Create and update detailed documentation of client environments and solutions. · Provide support, training and mentorship to team members and clients on Azure best practices. · Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and best practices to continuously improve delivery. About you · Experienced in using and supporting Azure including, but not limited to, virtual machines, storage and networking. · Proven track record of working in IT Support or Infrastructure roles. · Expertise in managing and troubleshooting complex technical issues. · Passionate about technology and continuously staying updated with the latest advancements. · Able to mentor and guide wider team members. · Can demonstrate skill and competence in scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI). · Understanding of network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP etc). · Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration e.g. Entra and its integration with on-premises AD. · Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics etc). · Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) in Azure.
