Job Description
Process Design Engineer
We are expanding our in-house design team and seeking a Process Design Engineer to join our Darlington office.
* Conduct initial project scoping visits and prepare project scope reports.
* Perform process calculations and unit sizing, create P&IDs, and develop Process Control Philosophies.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver full solutions.
* Participate in design meetings, including HAZOPs.
* Lead design efforts for select projects.
* Determine temporary treatment requirements to avoid consent breaches during construction.
* Provide input on commissioning plans and troubleshoot operational issues.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater project design and operation, as well as prior experience in problem-solving and client-specific requirement fulfillment.
* Proven experience in process engineering or a similar industry environment.
* Experience with municipal water/wastewater process design is highly desirable.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary design team.
* Strong background in all design stages, from optioneering/FEED to construction support and As-Built.
* Plant commissioning and/or operation experience is preferred.
* Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body is preferred.
* Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
