Community Development Facilitator
SALARY: NJC SCP 12 – 15 (£27,529 per annum pro rata)
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Fixed term to June 30th 2026
HOURS: 30 hours per week
BASE: Home based with travelling within Powys, Wrexham, Conwy and Denbighshire (travel time and expenses paid)
HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT: 27 days – pro rata, plus statutory bank holidays PENSION: 6%

We are here to support Young and Adult Carers with what matters most to them, whether that is navigating personal challenges, wanting to connect with others or having a voice on issues that affect them. Credu is a charity that gives support to Young and Adult Carers throughout Powys, Ceredigion, Wrexham, Conwy & Denbighshire as well as Young Carers and Adult Carers throughout Powys and Ceredigion. We operate through outreach workers who are supported by team leaders and a small office based team in Llandrindod.
The purpose of the post is to build a sustainable infrastructure of mutual support with carers and allies to transform Carers experiences by building on strengths in their own communities, schools, workplaces and among services. A small training budget will enable Carers of all ages to experiment with their ideas and access further funds and resources to unlock an unstoppable, self-organising movement of Carers. The movement is and will be led by Carers, to transform Carers experiences in their own communities, schools, workplaces and among services. To do this you will work with our team to:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about person centered, relational and enabling support; someone who can see strengths in every person, family and community. The successful candidate will be part of an experienced and progressive team who are kind and supportive colleagues.
Access to own transport will be essential for role due to locations and areas covered.
This post requires an enhanced DBS check with children's barred list check.
