An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Nurse to work in an exceptional nursing home based in the Abertillery, Wales area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.
This service is recognized as a specialist facility for people with complex needs and has access to the company's own clinical specialists and senior team. This has enabled them to establish a successful supported-living scheme from the home.
To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current NMC Pin and have mental health experience.
As a Nurse, your key duties include:
1. Ensure the highest possible standards of care, assessing residents' needs and wishes, and developing services to enhance their quality of life.
2. Champion appropriate independence and personal choice; developing, reviewing, and updating care plans to meet residents' physical, social, and psychological needs.
3. Oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift - ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored, and administered, in accordance with company policies and current legislation.
4. Build the positive reputation of the business; liaise professionally with visitors and other external stakeholders.
5. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and best practice guidelines - identify, investigate, and resolve risks proactively.
6. Support, guide, teach, and mentor others in line with the NMC Code, following its guidance at all times.
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
1. The ability to lead a team, analyze problems, and propose solutions or improvements.
2. Able to communicate effectively and develop professional relationships.
3. Understands and effectively uses IT and communication systems required for the role.
4. Respectful of the values, views, and needs of others.
5. Able to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
6. Experience of delivering nursing care within the elderly healthcare sector.
7. Experience of participating in quality and clinical governance programmes.
The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £21.63 per hour, with an annual salary of up to £49,489.44. We currently have permanent vacancies for both days and night shifts. In return, you will receive the following benefits:
