Job Description Mechanical Process Engineer (Heat Treatment) - Submarines Full Time Derby We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our team and be responsible for the successful delivery of the Heat treatment (Autoclave and Vac Anneal) systems. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Regeneration of the Raynesway Nuclear Licenced Site. This once in a lifetime major infrastructure programme is replacing the current facilities with modern state of the art manufacturing capability. Why Rolls-Royce? As the Process Engineer (Heat Treatment) you will be working across multiple disciplines and lifecycle stages in order to ensure that the areas under your responsibility meet both our engineering and project requirements. You will be able to interact with various stakeholders both internal and external to the business in order to be successful. Specific areas of responsibility that we are looking to cover relate to systems that are primarily mechanical or chemical in nature. What you will be doing You will be: • Acting as the single point of contact for the system. • Creation and maintenance of technical requirements and associated verification & validation activities. • Working with specialist engineering input to create an integrated engineering solution. • Ensuring that the engineering solutions meet all project and technical (inc. safety) requirements. • Stakeholder identification, engagement and management. • Acting as an intelligent customer for activities carried out by suppliers. • Leading the engineering packages through the gated review process. • Working with the project management team to ensure that schedules, risks, costs and resource requirements are understood and maintained. • Ensuring that regulatory and legal requirements are met throughout. Experience managing process/engineering projects in the Nuclear or regulated environment Experience of Heat Treatment Processes, materials handling, chemical delivery, and waste treatment facilities or similar plant Health and safety qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH are desirable. Experience of producing and reviewing health and safety documentation. Project delivery experience (engineering lifecycle experience is advantageous) Experience of working with contractors is beneficial.
