Job Overview You will work as a member of Essex STaRS in providing high quality, evidence-based, holistic nursing care to service users in line with your NMC professional code of conduct and Trust policies. You will jointly assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist prescribing packages of care based upon individual service user needs, under the guidance of the Independent Non-Medical Prescriber as per NICE guidance. Main duties of the job Band 5 Substance Misuse Nurse We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic motivated individual to join our Chelmsford based team. This post can either be a developmental post for a newly qualified Band 5 or can be offered to an experienced mental health or general nurse with an interest in the substance misuse field. The service promotes life long learning and opportunities for continuing professional development We work with patients with opiate and alcohol misuse issues in partnership with other agencies. We offer opiate substitute prescribing and ambulatory detox and provide holistic treatments that includes physical health assessments, BBV vaccinations and drug screening. Working for our organisation The successful candidate will be working as part of a multi disciplinary team. They will be part of a small team working across the Mid Essex area of the county.
