Job Title: Part-Time Design and Technology (DT) Teacher

Job Description: We are on the lookout for a passionate and innovative part-time DT Teacher to join an Independent Cheltenham school starting in January 2025. In this role, you will teach Resistant Materials to KS4 and KS5 students, with full teaching responsibilities including planning, preparation, and marking. Your expertise and enthusiasm for design and technology will ignite a love for the subject in our students, preparing them for success in the modern world.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Resistant Materials for KS4 and KS5.
Develop lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Assess, record, and report on student progress and achievements.
Provide constructive feedback to support student learning and development.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages innovation and creativity.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to the DT department.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching DT, specifically Resistant Materials, at the secondary school level.
Strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment methods for DT.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
