We are looking for 2 dynamic, enthusiastic band 6 nurses to join our team as a Junior Sister/ Charge nurse.

Our newly built Paediatric ED includes two designated paediatric resus bays, HDU, designated treatment room, CAMHS room providing a safe mental health space, and 7 cubicles to provide treatment and care to the patients we see. Main duties of the job
This exciting role requires a level of clinical expertise, along with the ability to manage a complex department alongside the paediatric nursing and clinical leadership team, negotiating flow into the Children Ward and Short Stay Unit. Demanding and challenging, this role will engage all of your existing skills and build on them. It will provide the opportunity to become involved in complex process change and require high levels of staff engagement.
As a Junior Sister/ charge nurse you will be expected to drive and deliver patient care in a challenging environment. We are looking for a dynamic individual to maximise the consistency and effectiveness of the service provided to the local community. You will be a Registered Paediatric Nurse with substantial post registration experience in a Paediatric ED or Acute Paediatric setting (Appropriate ward level experience with transferrable skills will be considered).

They will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and improving patient care. They will be expected to get involved with completing audits and clinical governance within the department. They will support junior members of the team, providing a positive working culture and learning environment.
