Salary: £36,413 - £53,994
Main/Upper Pay Scale (Inclusive of Outer London Weighting)
We are looking to expand our range of GCSE option subjects. Are you an experienced Media teacher looking for an exciting opportunity? Could you be the person we need with the skills, knowledge and passion to introduce Media to our students?
Our mission is to ‘inspire learners and change lives’ – and that includes our staff. We want to empower our teams so pupils are ready to be kind, confident and impactful world citizens – ‘participants, not bystanders’. To help us, we are looking to appoint an exceptional, exciting and inspirational teacher to introduce a creative and engaging Media curriculum in line with our desire for ‘excellence for all’. The successful candidate should possess the ability to think outside the box to ensure students are eager to learn, enabling them to raise their aspirations and to achieve the best possible outcomes.
As this would be our first GCSE cohort, the successful candidate would be required to teach another subject alongside Media. Preferably this would be English, a Humanities or Social Sciences subject but candidates with different second specialisms should not be deterred from applying.
The successful candidate will provide a supportive, stimulating learning environment and share our high expectations of achievement for all pupils.
In return, we offer:
1. High quality professional development
2. Supportive and friendly colleagues
3. Flexible working opportunities
4. Staff assistance programme including virtual GP appointments, counselling service, legal services
5. Access to the Teacher Pension Scheme
6. Cycle to work scheme
Please complete your application by 12pm, Thursday 20th March. Interviews are scheduled to take place shortly after. Please note that the Trust reserves the right to interview prior to the deadline date.
Empower Learning Academy Trust is an Equal Opportunities Employer that is committed to safer recruitment. All applicants must be prepared to undergo screening to confirm their suitability to work with children.
