We are looking for an enthusiastic Self Employed EAL (English as an Additional Language) Tutor with a love of education to encourage all students to make progress in this subject no matter their ability. Key responsibilities (Please see attached Schedule of Services for full requirements) : Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging EAL tuition that meets the individual language needs of students learning English as an additional language. Assess students' current English language proficiency and create personalised learning plans to track progress. Support students in all aspects of language acquisition, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure EAL students are fully integrated into the school curriculum and activities. Provide additional support for students during class to help them understand and participate in lessons. What we are looking for: Essential Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification (TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent) Proven experience teaching EAL students in a school setting Strong understanding of language acquisition processes EAL Tutor employment Status This position involves engaging with us as a self-employed tutor, to provide targeted support to individual pupils, as and when required The School will engage you to provide tutoring services upon its premises during the school day to School pupils only You will be paid by and contract with parents directly You will be expected to have your own public liability and/or professional indemnity insurance and safeguarding documentation in place In line with the self-employed status attributed to his role, please be aware that you will be responsible for the cost of ensuring that you have all relevant cover in place to fulfil the role as per the role requirements e.g. enhanced DBS with children's barred list check, overseas criminal checks and any first aid qualification, if required.
