Job Summary:
The Facilities Specialist is responsible for a variety of business and operational functions delivered as a service by the Facilities team. Position is responsible for supporting facilities operations (receiving assets, tagging assets, invoice review, pick up mail, deliver mail, sort mail, etc.), scheduling and resolving facility tickets and work orders and responding to requests for vehicle check-out, supplies, cubicle orientation, conference space setup, etc. The position performs activities within the Arizona Procurement Portal in accordance with State procurement rules. The position contributes to the design of program operating procedures, the monitoring and evaluation of program progress and related activities; and performs related work as required to support facilities operations. The position provides daily lunch coverage at the front desk, answering phones and assisting customers.
This position requires possession of a valid Arizona driver's license. Must have the ability to lift and carry at least 25 lbs.
This position's schedule requirements are from 8:00AM-5:00PM on-site at ADWR Headquarters.
Job Duties:
Provides timely, courteous, and high-quality customer service to members of the public, vendors, external State agencies, and other customers while assuring compliance with all statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Assist with procurement responsibilities, including working within the Arizona Procurement Portal.
Responsible for processing agency mail daily in accordance with agency procedures. Ensures smooth coordination with other State agencies in the areas of mail pickup and delivery. Responsible for receiving, inventory, and imaging records.
Monitors ADWR Facilities ticketing system and responds to requests for vehicle check-out, supplies, cubicle setup for onboarding, etc.
Provides backup to the receptionist daily during lunch breaks as well as full days on occasion.
Surplus end-of-life computing assets and office furniture.
Other duties as assigned related to the position.

Selective Preference(s):
Arizona Procurement Portal (APP) experience is preferable.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
This position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)

Retirement:
Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement system (ASRS). Please note, enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment. The current contribution rate is 12.27%.
