Commercial Manager
Location: Bournemouth (Hybrid working)
Type: Permanent
Salary: £70k DOE
ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients in Bournemouth with the recruitment of a Commercial Manager on a permanent basis. The Commercial Manager will act as the commercial lead on existing contracts, bids, and programmes, working with multifunctional teams within a dynamic environment.
Requirements:
1. Leading and directing commercial negotiations with new and existing customers.
2. Establishing and nurturing customer relationships from bid to contract completion.
3. Developing proposals as a key member of the bid team.
4. Undertaking commercial review and contractual analysis of key terms.
5. Sound contract management of existing contracts and live programmes.
6. Working with strategic suppliers (directly or via procurement team) to underpin prime contracts.
7. Advising the business on all commercial and contractual matters.
8. Identifying, assessing, and managing commercial risk throughout the contract/programme lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
1. Experience of managing the commercial elements of complex, high tech, challenging projects through the full development and contract lifecycle.
2. Ideally will have worked within the Aerospace or Defence sector.
3. Experience in developing, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contract terms and conditions within the context of programme scope.
4. Experience of working with UK MOD, other UK government departments, and export customers is ideal.
5. Ability to develop relationships at all levels, exert influence and command respect.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
7. Knowledge of Single Source Contracting / Contracts and DEFCARS is desirable.
