A Vacancy at Northumbria Healthcare - NHFM (Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management).
We are looking to recruit a number of friendly and flexible Domestic Assistants to work within our team at Wansbeck General Hospital in Ashington.
Post 1:20 hrs per week - ward based - working 3pm - 7pm, 5 days per week as part of a rota to include some weekends and bank holidays
Post 2: 18 hrs per week - ward based - working 7am - 1pm, 3 days per week as part of a rota to include some weekends and bank holidays.
Post 3:18 hrs per week - to cover all areas of the hospital, 3 x 6 hr shifts per week either 7am - 1pm or 12.30pm -6.30pm
Post 4:24 hrs per week - to cover all areas of the hospital, 4 x 6 hr shifts per week either 7am - 1pm or 12.30pm -6.30pm

Maintain the standard of cleanliness as specified throughout the designated work area by means of approved cleaning methods.
Able to complete a range of routine work procedures such as:
Cleaning of floor areas as scheduled by means of vacuuming, mopping, buffing and spray cleaning.
Undertake “deep cleans” in areas where infection is present
Removal of rubbish including domestic and clinical waste from designated areas to disposal point
Cleaning of sanitary areas, toilet, sinks, shower cubicles and staff changing areas
Damp dusting of all surfaces, ledges, shelves, curtain rails
Cleaning of internal glass
Taking down and putting up of curtains
Scheduled cleaning of chairs
Scheduled cleaning of carpets
To wash walls (shoulder height) fitting and windows where required
Use all equipment and materials in a correct and safe manner
Report all faults queries or problems to the Ward Manager/Domestic Supervisor
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all work areas
Carry out any urgent spot cleaning and spillage
Participate in training programmes relevant to efficiency, fire drills, hygiene, the requirements of the health and safety at Work regulations and other courses as deemed necessary for the efficient working of the department.
