JOB- Systems Engineer (Fluid Systems)
LOCATION- Cambridge
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000 to £60,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join a leading engineering company in Cambridge, specializing in fluid systems. This role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing complex fluid-based systems for a range of high-tech applications.
The Systems Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with a focus on fluid dynamics
* Experience in designing and developing fluid systems, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, or thermal systems
* Strong analytical skills with experience using CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, COMSOL, etc.)
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
* Knowledge of system modeling and simulation (MATLAB/Simulink preferred)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
* Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or energy is advantageous
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
The Systems Engineer role will involve:
* Designing and developing advanced fluid systems for high-performance applications
* Conducting system-level analysis, modeling, and optimization to enhance performance
* Performing CFD simulations to evaluate fluid flow, pressure, and heat transfer characteristics
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate fluid systems into larger engineering projects
* Conducting experimental testing and validation to ensure system reliability and efficiency
* Troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges in fluid-based systems
* Preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives and staying up to date with industry advancements
