General information Reference 2024-3260 Publication date 23/10/2024 Category Active Jobs - HR Job title Sustainability Manager Job description We are currently looking for a Sustainability Manager to establish, develop and deliver all aspects of sustainability (Environmental, Social and Governance - ESG) strategy and initiatives in line with the company objectives and global standards. This role can be located at either of our business centre in Leicester or Castleford but will require travel across the UK. About the role On a day-to-day basis this is what you would be doing: Review and develop the company sustainability strategy Create a plan for delivery of the sustainability initiatives Prepare sustainability information for annual accounts Develop relationships with stakeholders (Internal and External) to develop awareness and engagement of Sustainability and ESG activity Engage with suppliers to promote sustainable practices, ensure ethical sourcing, and responsible production methods Identify and mitigate sustainability related risks and develop countermeasures Promote best practice in relation to Sustainability – Current and future Streamline waste - improve reduce, re-use, recycle process. Your Profile Here is a quick tick list for the other skills we are looking for: Sustainability or Environmental Management qualification at degree level or above Extensive knowledge of Climate change and the reduction of carbon footprint by scope Practical understanding of ESG reporting, ISO14001 and ISO50001 standards Experience in sustainability management and strategy development. Excellent presentation skills and ability to present to stakeholders at all levels. Proficient in MS Office applications and associated software Strong interpersonal skills including communication, relationship building, negotiation, decision making and the influencing people High level of self-management skills including organisation and planning, self-motivation, creating thinking and emotional intelligence.
