Overview of the role
To provide project management expertise into Delkia's portfolio - delivering key projects comprising product, process and system development. The post-holder will contribute to the enhancement of Delkia's project management framework to ensure current and future projects within Delkia are delivered in line with best practice project management techniques.
Key responsibilities
* Define, plan, track and manage the project(s) to which they are assigned.
* Lead project resources to ensure project objectives are accomplished.
* Escalate project exceptions through governance processes, ensuring options and recommendations for resolution are identified.
* Build and manage meaningful and supportive relationships across the portfolio team, project teams and with internal and external stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively with the Project Teams to deliver the assigned project to defined cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
* Support Tender Submissions from a Project Management perspective.
* Prepare schedules and monitor progress against established baselines.
* Track and monitor project spending and report variances using Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
* Establish and maintain periodic reporting, by setting up regular internal and external team meetings.
* Positively influence key stakeholders associated with the project.
* Develop and maintain project documentation.
* Ensure all project deliverables are completed in line with the schedule.
* Identify potential dependencies, assumptions, risks, exceptions, opportunities, project problems, mitigation contingencies and implement corrective actions.
* Play an active part in Lessons Identified process across all projects and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
* Maintain established processes and develop new as required.
* Manage proposed changes to project parameters - e.g. scope, budget, schedules.
* Monitor the quality of project deliverables and ensure project objectives are met.
* Conduct project meetings and attend programme and portfolio meetings where required.
* Establish effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
Qualifications / Prerequisites:
* Experience of working in regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, rail)
* Degree (or working towards) in Project Management (desirable)
* APM Project Management Qualification (desirable)
* Knowledge of NEC3 contracts (desirable)
* Proven experience of delivering projects to time, cost and quality
* Successful experience of translating analysis into practical implementation
* Proficient with the full Microsoft Office suite
* Schedule baseline creation and management
* Detail oriented, high standard of accuracy & quality
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
