Our well-established and privately owned client with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and staff retention, are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Technical Coordinator to join their team based at their head office near the Hampshire/Surrey border. Managing up to two live residential new build developments as well as some smaller scale commercial projects within the group.
About the Role:
As Technical Coordinator, you will be a crucial link between the land team, construction teams, and external consultants. We are keen that the successful candidate has been involved in all elements from roads & sewers / groundworks to warranty sign off & handover manuals. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Managing the technical aspects of residential development projects from inception to completion.
2. Tendering, appointing and managing external consultants.
3. Liaising with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards and within budget.
4. Monitoring project progress and identifying potential issues or delays.
5. Attending site meetings and preparing reports.
6. Assisting the land team with any future projects.
7. Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
8. Contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes and procedures.
About You:
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have housing experience but also a willingness to be involved in other projects.
2. Be willing to liaise with designers to establish commercially viable schemes.
3. Be commercially aware, from the companies perspective but also understand what the sub-contractors and suppliers require to provide schemes efficiently.
4. Be able to manage workload to achieve the programme deadlines.
5. Be willing to visit sites and liaise with the site team.
6. Hold a relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field (e.g., HNC, HND, Degree).
7. Have proven experience as a Technical Coordinator or in a similar role within the residential development sector.
8. Have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Have strong technical understanding of construction methods and building regulations.
10. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
12. A proactive and problem-solving approach.
