I am working with an AP located in Nottingham who are looking for multiple Behaviour Mentors to join their team on a 10-week temp to perm basis. Within this role, you will be supporting pupils aged 11-16 both on a 1-1 capacity and in smaller groups of up to 6 pupils.
This is a long-term and permanent role with working hours of 09:00-16:00 Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to students that have been permanently excluded, or are at risk of being permanently excluded from mainstream education, displaying Challenging Behaviours.
2. Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies, predominantly on a 1-1 basis, or in smaller groups of up to 6 students.
3. Support students in their social and emotional development.
4. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
Skills:
1. Experience working with children, especially those with (SEN), ADHD, SEMH, Complex & Challenging Behaviours.
2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
3. Ability to effectively educate and engage students in learning activities.
4. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents/guardians.
