We are looking for a Data Specialist to join a leading energy company
As a Product Owner, you will be accountable for developing and agreeing the product vision and roadmap for data transformation. You will need an in-depth knowledge of agile process and principles with the ability to translate technical data principals into products with measurable outcomes and benefits aligned to strategic goals.
The job.
* Delivering value from IT Products, creating, and implementing the product roadmaps in line with technology strategy
* Creating and maintaining a fundamental understanding of the end-to-end process that the relevant products underpin and the business goals, drivers and objectives that are driving such processes
* Elicit and understand business needs and the changes required to meet such needs, ensuring that products remain fit for purpose and add value
* Accountable for the data product roadmap strategies and their evolution, developing the scope and defining backlog items (epic/ features/ user stories) that guide the build activities
* Ensure a robust and prioritised backlog of items to guide the work of the Agile Software Development teams and third-party vendors
* Collaborate with all parties / stakeholders during the visioning, strategy and conceptual
* development of a product, working with agile iterative and incremental methods and approaches
Your background.
* Demonstrable experience as a user focused Senior Product Manager/Product Owner
* Experience in recognising data as a product, extracting the value from data; translating product roadmaps into backlogs that prioritise delivery of the highest value features first
* A background in Data Management or Data Analytic solutions like MDM (Master Data Management), Metadata Management Tools, Data Quality Tools, designing data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes
* Experienced in product roadmap development and concepts such as minimum viable products, iterative and incremental approaches to delivery
Nice to have.
1. A good understanding of relational databases is required and candidates with Data Warehouse/Data Lake knowledge would be preferred
2. Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.
3. A technical, data engineering background or equivalent technical skills
