Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
In collaboration with the Senior Charge Nurse, you will be accountable for the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care for the defined patient groups in CAU, working within the professional standards held by the NMC Code.
There are areas within CAU that require very different approaches to patient management, including Initial Assessment, Rapid Assessment and Care (RAC), Acute In-patient zones, Acute Frailty Unit, and the Operational Response Centre (ORC).
You are responsible and accountable for the safe application of patient-centred care. Along with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care for each individual patient, adhering to the professional standards outlined in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
You will support other team members to meet the needs of their patients and all allied multidisciplinary team members involved in the care of the patient.
You must identify acutely unwell adults, specialty needs, referral needs, family, and social support needs, among others.
You will acknowledge the need to efficiently manage flow within the area you are working in, to specialty wards, and support timely discharge, interacting with families and social services to discharge safely and effectively.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
* You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
* You will revalidate every 3 years with excellent reflection and feedback opportunities.
* You will have a growing knowledge of unscheduled, acute care and actively seek to develop skilled assessment abilities.
* Demonstrate a growing level of clinical knowledge and skill through formal or informal training.
