Location: Llanfechell, LL68 0PY - please note we are a remote location, so you’ll need your own transport to get to us and as part of this role Hours: Full time 37 hours per week includes weekends and some sleep-in shifts Contract: Permanent Interviews: We are looking to interview as soon as possible so would encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity What you’ll be doing: In this role you'll be working approx. 20 hours per week in an operational delivery capacity and approx. 17 hours management capacity. We are looking for someone who is flexible in their working approach to meet the needs of the people we support here in Llanfechell and in the community. You’ll be working alongside the service manager to ensure a safe service for the people we support and our colleagues. This includes developing support plans, rotas and day to day running of the respite home, always providing a person-centred service. You’ll ensure the service is compliant in line with legislation, Cartrefi’s policies and procedures and to ensure quality standards. You’ll provide leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance and engage with supervisions, appraisals and team meetings. What you’ll really advocate across our respite centre is respect, safeguard and enable each person as an individual with the right to expect autonomy, choice and privacy. Who we're looking for: We'd love to hear from you if you: have experience supporting adults with learning disabilities in a social care setting already have (or be working towards) QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care are passionate about supporting people to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential have knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and privacy understanding of health and safety legislation and management in a social care setting have a strong working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice can work flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required The ability to drive is essential for this role.
