This is a Teaching and Learning Manager role with a difference! You don t often get that in your standard Teaching and Learning Manager role!
You will be working alongside another Teaching and Learning Manager across the Brinsbury College campus and responsible for the areas of Maths and English, Foundation Learning, 14-16, Furniture and Upholstery.
As a Teaching and Learning Manager, you will also have a positive impact on staff within your curriculum team. You will support staff to enhance and improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment by coaching and providing advice, whilst encouraging and supporting risk taking and innovation.
Key Responsibilities of our Teaching and Learning Manager :
* Delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment and outstanding support for students.
* Contributing to all curriculum planning processes, including curriculum intent statements, timetabling and managing maths and English delivery across all product lines.
* Providing advice and support into new developments to broaden the curriculum offer including input from our community, employers and stakeholders.
* Undertaking activities to support the recruitment of students, including attend open events and other events as required by the Head of Learning.
* Contributing to the effective recruitment and retention of teaching, delivery and support staff, supporting the staff team with a coaching approach.
* Encouraging and support innovation, risk taking and use of technology to enhance curriculum delivery, engagement and learning.
* Positively promoting equality, diversity and inclusion within the curriculum and the College community.
* Integrating sustainability within curriculum delivery to support CCG s focus on the green agenda and sustainability.
Our ideal Teaching and Learning Manager should have the below skills and experience:
* A Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education, or equivalent
* A level 3 qualification relevant to the area of teaching expertise
* Proven record of teaching and assessment to a consistently high standard, including the use of technology
* Teaching experience within Further Education
* Up to date knowledge of curriculum and teaching and learning, proven through continuing professional development
* The ability to travel between campuses
