What skills and experience we're looking for
Queen Elizabeth's Grammar, Alford are looking to appoint a part-time Teacher of Music for September 2025. For the right candidate there is the option of a TLR and leading the department.
We are looking for a colleague who:
- Is a qualified teacher and outstanding practitioner.
- Has high expectations.
- Has extensive knowledge of the subject and is suitably qualified to teach Music to A Level.
- Has the ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues.
- Has a track record of forming very good working relationships with pupils, parents and staff
- Is committed to extra-curricular music activities and performances.
We are looking for a teacher ideally to lead our department and work with an established and motivated group of peripatetic teachers. We need an enthusiastic practitioner with recent experience of teaching this subject in mainstream or special schools, who can adapt the Music curriculum to meet the needs of our students.
