About The Role

As our new Manufacturing Operator, you'll play a vital part in our operation by contributing to the achievement of daily targets, and ensuring our products are manufactured efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise, high attention to detail, and organisational skills will be crucial in ensuring that our products are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also adhere to our strict standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual with experience in using manufacturing equipment at a machine operator level who is looking for the next step in their career as full training is provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manufacture a wide range of skincare products, using various machinery including large vessels to manufacture cosmetic bulk products and a spectrophotometer.
2. Analyse raw materials and finished products, guaranteeing accuracy and quality.
3. Maintain our Tropic's standards and specifications, ensuring every product sings with chromatic perfection.
4. Work closely with chemists, engineers, and production teams to experiment with new combinations and troubleshoot.
5. Adhere to all safe working practices, and ensure the team follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
6. Ensure that COSHH guidelines are followed and that all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn and maintained.
7. Manage the flow of products and materials.
8. Collect the required batch materials from the weighing team.
9. Manage the movement of finished batches to the production teams.
10. Responsible for ensuring the department is cleaned and sanitised suitably and sufficiently.
11. Waste management.
What We're Looking For
12. At least years' experience using manufacturing equipment at a machine operator level.
13. Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
14. A systematic and determined approach.
15. Results-focused with a keen eye for detail and a natural curiosity about science.
16. A strong communicator with an analytical mindset who enjoys collaboration, and problem-solving.
17. Excellent time management skills.
What We Offer
18. Employment Type: This role is offered full-time, hours per week (four days), Wednesday to Saturday, am to pm.
19. Where we're located: Tropic HQ is located a short walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop, which is connected to East Croydon and Wimbledon.
