Year 8 Class Teacher – SEMH School (Maternity Cover) Location: The Wirral Position: Full-time, Maternity Cover An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Year 8 Class Teacher to join a well-established SEMH school based in The Wirral. This full-time maternity cover position offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people. The successful candidate will work with one of the most settled classes in the school. They will deliver a broad and engaging curriculum, supporting students in their academic and personal development. This role requires a nurturing, understanding, and resilient professional who can instill clear boundaries while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Teach across the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the class. Build strong relationships with students to support their emotional and academic progress. Create and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent support for students. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching children with special educational needs (SEN) and/or those who have experienced trauma. A compassionate and resilient approach to teaching. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to in still boundaries effectively.
