About the Role:
Truro and Penwith Academy Trust are looking for an experienced, influential and strategic leader to drive the development, implementation and evaluation of a Trust-wide information, communication and technology strategy, in line with and supporting the Trust’s broader strategic aims.
The role will strengthen the Trust’s position in a competitive education market by supporting the Directors of Education and Operations with the introduction of new learning technologies.
The role will work with an established IT team and a mix of third-party suppliers and freelance contract staff to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement through proactive engagement and collaboration with all stakeholders, identifying new initiatives and progressing them through to implementation, readjusting operational plans and priorities as appropriate to reflect emerging opportunities or issues and influence strategic decisions.
About You:
The postholder will be expected to guide the projects and programmes through the complete life cycle including: the evaluation of high-level needs, and portfolio and programme design, requirements specification, options analysis, evaluation and procurement of software or infrastructure solutions. They will need to provide leadership qualities, to manage staff working directly in support of projects as well as working closely with key stakeholders and external suppliers.
The position is aimed at someone with a strong strategic mindset who can project ideas and opportunities and deliver these at the operational level.
