Job title: Principal Engineer - Fluid Systems

Salary: Circa £52,000 (Dependent on experience)
What you'll be doing:
* To help lead and develop functional engineering solutions that meet a complex array of cross functional interactions and requirements
* Engaging and building relationships with suppliers to develop and capture equipment and component specifications that meet the challenging demands of the product
* Working directly with the customer to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based in operational scenarios, use cases and other design considerations
* Taking lead for performing and reviewing engineering calculations and analysis is to make design decisions and demonstrate system performance
* To develop the package of design evidence required to justify a safe, effective design and generate customer confidence in the design solution
* Co-ordinating, managing and leveraging a wide stakeholder base to solve complex engineering problems and make responsible decisions
Your skills and experiences:
* Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science subjects
* Chartered Engineer within a recognised engineering institute
* Background in Fluid Systems Design
* Design documentation with the ability to present these to customers and wider groups
* Solving complex engineering calculations

The Fluid Systems team:
As the Principal Engineer - Fluid Systems you will be responsible for the design and development of the Mechanical Platform Systems that deliver crucial ship services and crew life support capabilities for the next generations of Nuclear Submarine. You will be heavily involved with the SSN AUKUS as well as future submarine programmes supporting the design and development of various critical systems. We offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
