We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse to join our Outpatients at our state of the art Consulting Rooms at The London Clinic in central London, W1G 6BW. With a competitive salary range up to £46,236 on offer dependent on skills and experience. Job Profile As a staff nurse you will work with senior and junior staff co-ordinating and delivering quality standards of nursing care following a patient centred model of practice in keeping with the Clinic's Philosophy, the departments policies, SOPs and NMC guidelines. Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. We do have part time opportunities available also. Shifts: Monday - Friday Location: 146 Harley Street and 5 Devonshire Place, London Salary: up to £46,236 Benefits package: Contributory pension scheme (total annual contribution up to 20%). Key Duties Take responsibility for individualised patient care as appropriate working closely with the Consultants, nursing colleagues and clerical staff. Ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records and be aware of the legal implications of these documents. Ensure the provision of excellent evidence-based care for patients. Co-ordinate and assist Minor Gynae/Colposcopy/Hysteroscopy/ENT Clinics independently. Attend and maintain mandatory updates and any external training as appropriate. Encourage confidence from consultants and patients through effective performance, communication and working relationships. Act as a professional accountable practitioner in accordance with the Codes of Professional Conduct and Professional Practice. Be flexible in staffing situations which may be at short notice. Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and patients. Participate in departmental meetings to enhance team communication. Be conversant with the Clinic's patient information system to ensure comprehensive patient notes are documented and proficient in using order entry (charging) for accounting purposes. Assist in maintenance of stock items keeping within budget boundaries and partaking in weekly stock checks, ordering and annual stock takes. Undertake office duties and be in charge where required with distant supervision from Clinical Rooms Manager and Sister in Charge Establish effective interdepartmental liaison in order to help achieve optimum levels of continued patient care. Liaise with consultant's secretaries and insurance companies and the International office where necessary. Skills & Experience Minimum over 3 years surgical experience in at least one specific surgical speciality, ideally Gynaecology, ENT/Dermatology or Colorectal Proven experience in wound management Competent in removal of all types of sutures, clips and aseptic dressings ILS/BLS certificate Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate own workload Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well the ability to work autonomously Excellent verbal and written communication skills in clear spoken English Good PC skills Good time management Level 1 RN with revalidation in place NMC registered The London Clinic has charitable status which is fundamental to our identity and how we operate, enabling our teams to invest in treatments, technology and facilities that benefit our patients, staff and the wider community.
