Job summary We are appointing a 1x 12-month post and 2x 6months (with the possibility of extension) posts, all posts are for an immediate start. The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department within University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the top London Hospitals for training. This is a busy but very friendly tertiary level unit dealing with a wide range of interesting conditions. Although the post is not recognised by the Royal College of Gynaecologist as training posts, they offer excellent educational opportunities and the successful applicant will be given the same educational opportunities.The department is housed in a state of the art facility in the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson wing of UCLH. The successful candidates will join the existing strong Obstetrics and Gynaecology medical team, with an international reputation in excellent care and research. You are advised to immediately submit your application Main duties of the job The ST1/ST2's are responsible for the day-to-day care of Gynaecology and obstetrics patients. They attend some Gynaecology Out-patient and Theatre sessions and Ante-natal clinics. They are responsible for emergencies admitted through A&E at UCH. Whilst covering the Labour Ward, ST1/ST2's are encouraged to perform a wide range of operative obstetric procedures whilst being supervised by a senior member of the unit. All ST1/ST2's are encouraged to participate in Audit and research programmes.
